We had so much fun in North Dakota for my sisters graduation. We did so much! I had so many cute pictures of the kids I couldn't possibly pick one of each.

Mabel: She was outside all day everyday. I loved watching her exploring the neighborhood. She met two imaginary friends there named Bill and Joe who accompanied us back to Arizona. She rode a horse named Tamika with Grandma a few times, she was a natural and had no fear. She got to play with baby kittens and chase turkeys with her brother. We spent a beautiful day on the river and lots of time with friends and family.

Gus: He was also outside all day everyday. He practiced peeing on trees and loved climbing on Grandmas tractor. He got to ride horse as well and was surprisingly not afraid. If you ask me no one has ever looked so cute in a life jacket. I love this boy.

week twenty.

Before heading to North Dakota, we spent a couple of days relaxing at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix. We spent the whole day relaxing by the pool and playing with the kids. Usually when we travel its so rushed. Taking this little vacation if you will, before our actual vacation is one of the best ideas we've had and we will definitely do it again.

Mabel: I love her serious look in this picture. You wouldn't even know she's flying up in the air and about to go under water.
Gus: He does not like sunscreen. At all.  But once he gets in the water he forgets all about it.

mabel's first ballet recital

On Saturday Mabel had her first ballet recital. She has been taking ballet for a year now and I've secretly been waiting for this moment. It was as adorable as I dreamed it would be. She was her usual self on stage hamming it up for the audience. We loved every minute of it.

week nineteen

Summer is officially here. We've been lathering on our sunscreen and spending as much time as we can outdoors until the unbearable Arizona heat really sets in.

Mabel: Showing me her favorite back-float.
Gus: He's a daredevil on his strider.

week eighteen - mothers day

Tomorrow is Mothers Day and it just so happens for this weeks portraits I ended up in front of the camera with my babies, which rarely happens and I'm always grateful for. I get very sentimental about these days and how quickly they seem to be flying by. Years from now I know I will hold simple moments like these, at the duck park with my little family, close to my heart.

Tomorrow I'm spending the day with just myself and 2 very special babies while Sam works most of the day. I'm excited to see the homemade cards they made for me and I'm guessing they'll want pancakes for breakfast.

Happy Mothers day!

week seventeen.

This week Sam and the kids continued on with our little tradition and planted a mini-garden. He took them to the store and let them pick out what they wanted to grow. Gus picked tomatoes and Mabel picked eggplant among other things. Since then each morning Daddy and the kids water the plants and check the progress of the operation.  The kids really love it.

The other morning it was so beautiful the whole family ended up outside just spending time together. I love spring mornings and this family of mine.

Mabel: She is a true naturist.
Gus: He's always getting lost in his amazing little imagination.

And a few extra pictures for good measure.
